Default theme, too many forums, hardly any content, staff only forums visible, all caps category titles.

default theme suits the logo... Just started.. getting there...

Doesn't this break showcase rules? Nothing is modified.

Come on, you have such a 'juicy' niche and you're using a blue-default theme? You could really have a terrific design made for this site. Need to make some serious changes there. The logo is pretty cool, maybe some warmer hues and then modify the entire layout based on it.
