if you do host your mail with google apps be sure to go to advanced setting later and use a DKIM with your domain.. instructions are included on that page.
Sorry, but I am still getting the SSL/TLS error stated above.
It's so annoying.. Usually there are 2 ways to fix an issue.
1. Use the professional less ressources wasting way.
2. Use the most simple ressource eating way.
None of the options work, and it really makes me frustrated.

Something caught my attention. If I want GMAIL to work with MyBB do I need Thunderbird connected then?
Would mailserver work like this:
Configured working gmail
+
MyBB mail settings set to gmail settings.
With no third party software installed?
