I followed everything as indicated, but I keep getting this on the admin panel:

Add to .htaccess:
# Some hosts require RewriteBase to make RewriteRules work.
RewriteBase /

I already added it Confused, Also core files are edited.

Thanks for any help in advanced.

did you rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess

I do n't have that in htaccess and i'm using google seo, are you running the latest version of google seo.
Can you provide a screenshot of exactly what the plugins page says.

Ok try replacing .htaccess with this

Who are you hosted with? Some hosts don't allow mod_rewrite, either by default or altogether. I would check that out and send them an e-mail. The code is correct.

did you try the one i posted, delete the contents of you current one and paste that code in and see how that works, can you post the type of url you are getting by default.
