You probably want to use less sections starting up. Have one forum for computers, one forum for gaming, etc. As it is right now the forum looks very empty because of the large amount of forums.
Also, it doesn't appear you have all the theme images loaded.
Changing the theme this weekend.
You don't need so many individual boards.
Also, I thought it was a gaming forum so I was suprised there was so much before the gaming sections started. Perhaps focusing more on a single niche would be better.

Users aren't always right. For me, seeing that many empty forums is a turn off for me.

They're wrong. Adjust to your user's behaviour, not their words.
Most of your members is spam bots, Way to many forums at least add some sub forums. Also having 2 forums would be a dumb idea. Seeing only 2 forums would be a turn off for me.
Nobody suggested just two forums.
