So we (me and a co-owner) created a forum not long ago using MyBB and even though we are not even finished with the forum, we already got targeted by spammers. These spammers are using spambots to constantly register new accounts, and today we went from 7 members to over 30. I have already set the registration setting to admin activation, but I realize this will only be of little help. I shouldn't have to look through a bunch of spammers for a legitimate user on validation queue.
Is there anything I can do to block spammers? Is there any anti-bot plugins? It seems the whole "capcha" technology included with the board isn't doing the job. I can imagine banning IP blocks wouldn't be any use with these spammers either.
