Where have you actually uploaded the files to? Printscreen your FTP client showing where they are.
Was there a public_html or httpdocs folder or something anywhere? As it looks like the document root for the domain isn't the folder you've uploaded the files to, so it can't find them.

No, you definitely weren't meant to delete public_html. You're meant to upload all the MyBB files into that folder as it's the folder where your web accessible files should reside.

Yes, leave it where it is and put the MyBB files inside there.

Remake it in the / folder (root) and then select all the other folders/files (the ones you uploaded) and drag them into it.
