Hi,
I have installed mybb on a pc without a domain name http://myhost/. My Cookie Domain was set to ".myhost" and Cookie Path is "/". IE9 Users could not log in, IE9 did not send a cookie (verified via network trace). Firefox users could login. After reading http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/arch...lorer.aspx I noticed, that myhost is a plainhostname and there is no domain (or Uri_PROPERTY_DOMAIN in the blog post). I think that IE9 thus doesn't send a cookie.
Changing Cookie Domain to "" solved my issues and I want to share this knowledge with you. (I am not saying that IE9 is correct, but merely that this did help with login problems for us.)
