I think your jumping the gun by saying that it's pirated/cracked/whatever-you-MyBB-people-call-it. I belive he is anti piracy, and I've known him for a while from twitter. It really is more PixelMonkey's business, and if he thinks it's likely stolen then he can ask for the transaction ID etc.
Tell PixelMonkey if you think he did, as it isn't really your business to jump to conclusions like this, as UCP was working fine for me the day before yesterday.

That's the first thing I'd remove (the guest sidebar). Don't annoy the guests.
