I have just recently set up Mybb forum. I would like to resolve two issues:

(1) I am not getting notifications of new posts and threads. I would like to know whether there are any settings that would enable notification to admin of new posts and threads.

(2) I would also like to know whether email subscribing and notifying can be enabled by default (rather than members choosing it every time).

1) there is not setting to enable for an admin to get notices. you can subscribe to every forum and have myBB handle it, or you can use my Admin Notice plugin
