I just have a hard time enjoying fashion or whatever if the person doesnt look like she's enjoying herself a tiny bit... I like the punch colored pieces of the collection, i think i'm just not enjoying it as much as others would.
Thinking about it, it's not just the model. I didnt enjoy SS2012 as much as i do now at first. Maybe it will come.

You know what? I find this to be the rule with Anna Sui. Pieces just grow on you. I even think her fashion in general an acquired taste, like wine. How I wish I could pay a visit to the NYC showroom the collection for myself and grab some pictures...but I can't spend for a bus ticket just for that .__.

I agree with your review: this resort collection has nothing to be ashamed of. Great lines, great prints, great shapes. I love that they are all somewhat slouchy - there's a relaxed 'opulence' about the collection.
I think you're right about the dress #16 - the lace (!!) and sleeves are gorgeous! Plus, it's such a versatile piece that could easily be worn in autumn and spring.
I would have seriously considered getting dress #19 if it weren't for the asymmetrical hem. I love dropwaist dresses, and the print is so pretty and soft, with the darling little bow! Hasn't Sui used the same design before though?

Oh, yes! Anna often does that. There are designs that are "staples", if you want, of her fashion style. Look 19 is one of them, as you probably saw it from the Spring 2011 runway:

It's too bad you dislike the assymetrical hem, it's precisely what I love about.

Marie, this would be precious on you:

Ahh, look 22 is very, very popular. It's a great look, but it doesn't appeal to me as much as look 20, 21 and 16.

I loved your review Retro
& I love the teacup print!
This is my favorite of all

This has to be the strongest look of the collection, really! It's not in my personal favourites solely because I'd have to spend for two pieces over one (low on money + student in becoming) and that I don't think it would suit me that much.

I've noticed Marie has the supernatural ability to pull off most shades of blue and purple—including pastels, which can look icky on pale skin—so I think it would really suit her. :BBB
It'd also would look nice with these tights I posted in the other thread:

That's due to my skin tone being almost perfectly neutral. These tights are sick, but I would rather go for these for SS seasons. They'd be good for FW looks though!
