ACP > Configuration > User Registration and Profile Options (it is around 1/3 of the way down of the list of settings). Make sure that "Registration Method" is set to "Send Email Verification".
If that isn't the case, I'm stumped.

It is already set to send email verification. Still not working??

Contact your hosting provider. Usually, its a host side problem. I was facing this as well and my host managed to fix things for me.

If it doesn't goes fine then you've to contact to your host.

Exactly. Post the results of the above test. It my be that you'll have to configure the SMTP mail settings.
