I noticed today that users can select either theme I made as default.. or the original default theme.. I don't want them to be able to select the original default theme unless they subscribe because it would bypass my advertising...

so 3 questions really..
Is it safe to delete Default MyBB theme and will doing so mess up my current theme on an upgrade install (I noticed in 1.6.7 to 1.6.8 a pop up saying it did something to default theme)?

Is there a way to make theme selection in user cp only selectable to specific groups?

thank you for help.

Yes, it is safe to delete the default theme.

And you can easily choose which usergroups are allowed to use a specific theme within its properties.
Though it is safe to delete the default theme I like to keep it as it is a good way to check if plugins are "not working" because of my theme templates rather than the plugin itself. If it works on the default templates then I know to check my main theme for "issues".

I have the MyBB Default theme set to admin only in the theme properties.
Thank you, both of you. Fábio and Lee Smile

I'll leave it but disable via user groups.

Another one of my Captain Obvious issues.. lol
thanks!
