Ive seen it on vbulletin say i was talking to someone in a thread it would be like a quote but much simpler

this would be in a thread and it would be hyperlinked to the user etc

This plugin already exists - it also pm's the tagged user, telling them they've been tagged in a post.

on the review it says that one doesnt work for usernames that have spaces?

I use http://mods.mybb.com/view/mention and it's amazing since it includes the user group's colour in the mention link.

Being PM'd every time I'm tagged sounds annoying. Tomm M is working on one that plugs into a notification system separate from PMing. If you can wait, I'd suggest waiting for that.

EDIT: Actually, I may be wrong about this. Blush

Definitely needs to be done, I have quote notice atm and some users dont like a notification system is a must!

Tomm M has a @mention plugin and is working on a notification plugin but I'm not sure if he plans to pull them together. He should, though!
