i have installed forum and its working fine. Want an additional feature, When a post goes up we do want email announcements to go out to those that are members of the forum how can i do this

Members have the ability to "Subscribe" to forums (from the forum's thread listing page) so that when a new thread is made, they will be notified.
There is also a "Subscribe to this thread" link in every thread which will alert them to new posts, or they can set it up from their User CP so that they're automatically subscribed when they post in a thread.

I wouldn't suggest that you force them to get emails about new thread/post as it can get very annoying if you didn't ask for it, and kind of comes of a little 'spammy'.
