When someone subscribe to a thread, and ask for email notification, he will receive an email for each reply...

This could be really anoying on active forum.

My users are asking for a possibility to subscribe to a thread, by receiving an email on new reply, but no new email for next replies until they goes on the forum and read the thread.

I believe this is the way it works right now?

You only get one email until you visit the board again.

At least I'm pretty sure that's the way it works for me on these forums right now... I subscribe to every thread I post in automatically.

It actually sends a new email on each reply.

Lies, it even says in the email's body text:

Yes, that's the bug. I subscribed to the /me thread and there goes the email bombardment to my inbox.

Hahaha... I can imagine.

Oh right. Can't say I've noticed. Gmail's conversation styled emails.
