I upgraded a forum of mine from 1.6.3 to 1.6.8 and upgrade seemed successful. Afterwards I saw that there was a new file named htaccess.txt so I deleted the old .htaccess file and renamed the new htaccess.txt to .htaccess Now I see an error when I try to view a forum. The only way I can view a forum is to turn off search engine friendly URLs in AdminCP. Apparently I did something wrong by deleting the old file but I can’t imagine what. How can I fix this? The name of the forum is Moderator Training Forum. I use it for testing only. Thank you for your help.
I don’t know if this has anything to do with the problem but I noticed when I uploaded the zip file containing the Upload directory of 1.6.8 there were some PHP errors when I expanded it.
