recaptcha doesn't protect against human spammers.
Instant activation + Spamalyser = Life a lot easier.

Yeah, cheers guys. I've gone with instant activation and yet to have any issues with spam. I'm using reCAPTCHA and Registration Questions. I'll let you guys know in a month how it's going.
