It works:
straw

But not this:
straw
[color=#FF0000][url=http://dummylink.com]straw[/url][/color]
Possibly a bug ?
No, that's just how CSS inheriting works...

No, that's by design. Try it with raw HTML, you'll receive the exact same result.
I probably saw a post (perhaps Ryan Gordon's post) somewhere telling that MyBB overrides the bbcode automatically to the correct syntax. I forgot the link though.

This is not a bug, it is how css works. You just need to write your posts the right way :p
