MyBB Community Forums

I am trying to go from phpbb3 to mybb, i installed mybb but when i try to use the merge settings i get:
"The MyBB Merge System cannot continue until you upload loginconvert.php (found in this directory via a file transfer application) to your MyBB Forums' inc/plugins folder."

i did take the loginconvert.php file and put it in the inc folder, but it still gives that error.

thank i finally got it.
i have issue everything got transferred, but why do all the posts say 0 posts and threads when there are posts and threads in them?

You have to recount and rebuild the data.

ACP > Tools & Maintenance > Recount & Rebuild > Run those in order.

i just noticed, in order for me to go to my site now, the user has to type url.com/forum to access the mybb page, and if they just type url.com the old phpbb forum shows. Do i just delete all the phpbb files and put the mybb files in that directory?

Delete the phpBB files, move the MyBB files to the public_html directory, then you need to update your Board URL and cookie settings firstly in ./inc/settings.php then at ACP > Configuration > General Configuration.

i cant seem to log in, not even the admion control panel

There is still one problem, whenever i click the logo at the top it alternated from
http://etechforum.com/index.php
and
http://etechforum.com/forums/index.php

is there a way to only have like the first one?

because the one with the /forums/ doesnt have all the files.
am i supposed to delete the /forums/ folder?

You need to change your board url

Admincp -> configuration -> general configuration -> board url
