Have all forums set for /Edit Forum/Forums'moderator options'/'moderate...' (all boxes checked), and using Akismet.
Spammer posted thread, bypassing all of above.
Way to fix ?
Ps: Also, many spammer posts show up in database, but not on forum ?
use question answer mod in registration..
Don't use normal questions, because bots are wisely coded now, so use like below
what is the letter between P and R
4 + 10 = 5 + ?
like above will reduce a little spam from registration
-------
but still now there is NO mods in question answer for creating new thread
, so it unavoidable

Thank you for the reply and suggestion.
So what we are saying, if registered, there is no sure way to totally control posts, even when all moderation options require admin approval of posts before displayed ?
Although, there were quite a number of posts in the database under /mybb_threads that were not posted in the forum (not sure how that works, maybe put there by Akismet, deleted them, assume ok), and guess so far only one post that 'made it through' to a thread display.
Have another way of checking registered users (like your equation test), using mass mailing, b4 put them in spammer group.
Guess will just have to see how it goes.
