Hello,

Im just wondering why when I download pdf attachments from my forum, they are named attachment.pdf despite the attachment being name something else?

I believe this to be because upload clicking the attachment, it opens in the browser acrobat pdf viewer, and then upon saving, it looks at the url (being attachment.php) and saves it at attachment.pdf.

So basically what im asking, is there anyway into tricking acrobat into saving the attachment as the name it was given instead of "attachment" ?

The attachments renamed at the time of being uploaded.

You cant rename attachments after uploading them though cant you.
Im uploading them with specifc names.

If I right click the attachment and choose "save link as" it downloads with the name given, but its the going through acrobat that is the problem.
Is there anyway I can force users to "save link as" ?
