I can't figure this out:

I want to have it so that the "new" icon is displayed for new threads/posts, the "locked" icon for locked, but not display any icon otherwise (at present, you'd get an "inactive" icon displayed - this is what I want to get rid of).

How could I do this? I am hoping I can do it without hacking (either via template and/or plugin)...

u can change the off.gif image to an empty transparten image
