Full Version: All images and icons do not display

Hi - I just moved my site to a new domain (on same host), and have found no icons or images associated with there site will now display, even though they are all present in the appropriate folders. They had been working fine from the old domain.

Site is http://www.nzarchitecture.net.nz (installed in root directory)
My BB version 1.6.8

This issue applies with all themes, including the default theme.

No other changes made/

As far as I know I have set up no redirects, but if I manually try to access http://www.nzarchitecture.net.nz/images/ I seem instantly to be redirected back to the root index page

I have cleared browser cache & cookies multiple times, have checked general configuration settings in adminCP & as far as I can establish all are correct.

cookie domain set to default "/' (have tried ".nzarchitecture.net.nz" but no change)
cookie path set to "http://www.nzarchitecture.net.nz/"

I have also found that while I can log on in Firefox13, I am immediately redirected back to login page under IE9 (both browsers cache/cookies cleared).
Under Firefox however, I cannot log out.

I am assuming there is some very weird cookie issue in play, and would very much appreciate any help!
Cookie path should be: /
Cookie domain should be: .nzarchitecture.net.nz

Hi - thanks for the reply - that certainly solved both log in issues, though the images are still not displaying under either browser.

Is there something else I might have wrong?

Cheers
CHMOD ./images/ folder to 777
Hi - 777 applied to images folder, all subfolders and images - but still no change

Could something be positively blocking display of images?
No, its forbidden error: http://www.nzarchitecture.net.nz/images/...w_grad.png

CHMOD ./images/kodi/ folder to 777

CHMOD ./images/kodi/ folder to 777

Double checked and definitely the folder and all contents are al 777 (see attached screenshot).

Is there another way that a folder can be forbidden?

OK - the answer is yes - other things CAN block display of images. In my case I found a setting on my web host cpanel called "hotlink protection".

In adding my new domain, image hotlink protection also seems to have been added automatically, meaning images were not being served (don't claim to understand the benefit of hotlink protection if this makes all the images so protected useless even to their owner!)

Anyway, mystery solved - thanks for your help.
