Wait, I've just read your OP. Isn't INAIC the authority for the alternative Internet, not the actual Internet (which would be ICANN)?

If you're spending thousands of dollars on a gTLD that requires anyone that wants to use to modify their DNS server settings then you are sadly mislead. INAIC specifically mentions things like Public-Root which is a well known "alter-net" root server operator.
.null would be epic

Yes, but Tom is right. Not, all ISPs will use their dns since it's separate from ICANN. For example I know mine doesn't and honestly didn't even know they existed until Tom said something. So to use it I would need to install a program http://inaic.com/index.php?p=internet2-tool.

And, from what I can see it doesn't seem to have any support from anyone worth mentioning
Yeah, you're right. You can't even use it on a Mac. That whole site is weird haha
I'm not gonna say its a scam, because there is nothing illegal about it, but it is VERY misleading. I wouldn't buy a tld from there if someone GAVE me the money.

INAIC = unofficial, literally not used by ANYONE, $3000 + running costs
ICANN = official, used by every ISP globally, $185,000 + running costs

As I stated previously, I didn't think you would have the funds to register and run a tld. If you did, you certainly wouldn't be asking here Wink

@brad you would just need to modify your DNS settings to point to their DNS servers.

pTLD = $1000 setup+250 year

You need plugin or dns change for pTLD to work.

Worthless imho. Google will not index you. Traffic will be null.
