I would really love to have a plugin that sends out a daily digest of posts from our board. I've found some old discussion of a rough way to do this, but nothing more after that. I'd really need it to send posts from private forums only to the members of those forums, and also to have a way for members to turn it off and on by themselves. Is that possible?

Hello? So I guess no one ever went any further with turning it into a plugin? Would someone be willing to try? I don't know nearly enough to do it myself.

Okay... hmm. Where would I go to learn about writing plugins, so that I can do it myself?
