In the Admin CP it says I have 9 unapproved post but when I click on the Moderation Queue it says "There are no posts currently awaiting moderation".

Have you tried to use the recount and rebuild tools?

It's done it to me before and I used those tools and the problem disappeared.

Do I rebuild just the post count?

Do them all. No harm in it.

I generally tend to do all recounts once or twice a week to prevent silly errors such as saying I have to approve such and such amount of posts that don't even exist.
