Right lets say a forum has 6 categorys, but on home page you only want 4 ro show, but to get to the other 2, lets call them, motoring, and selling.

There is 2 tabs to get to them, at the top of the page, 1 for the motoring one and 1 for selling.

If you dont know what i mean, let me know and i will try to explain better.

Thats what i would like, , notice the tabs, none of them sections are showing on front page, they only show when tab is clicked on.

I don't understand what you mean. On the front page there are forums showing up, i.e. those under the General tab. The forum you pointed to uses the Tabbed Menu plugin I think.

the marketplace forum is not showing on the home page, you can only get to it by clicking on the marketplace tab.

No, I have not been told that before. However I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. Would you care to elaborate?

This can't be done without a plugin or some sort of modification. You will have to install something. Have you done that? If so, what is not working? If not, do you need help?
