Hello everyone,

I've recently just downloaded and began uploading MyBB 1.6.8 files to my website (http://hipfire.net), I've uploaded all of the required files, yet when I got to http://hipfire.net/install, nothing is there? I've tried all other URL's, such as http://hipfire.net/install/index.php, etc...

Now please, do excuse me, I'm a bit of a 'noob' when it comes to the installation of any kind of forum software, so if the answer is completely obvious and staring my in the face, directions will be needed. Blush
Please make sure you're uploading the files into the public_html or www or .htdocs directory. Smile
If you're getting a 404 error then that means the file you are trying to access simply does not exist. In other words, you did not upload the files correctly or any files at all. They must be uploaded to the root of your website, usually a folder called public_html.

Eh, slight problem...

I deleted all of the MyBB 1.6.8 files I uploaded, to try again. This is all I have lurking behind my FTP...

Create a new directory called public_html

You might need to contact the host regarding all of the rest of the missing files, however.
You didn't make the mistake of going uploading the 'upload' folder?

e.g

upload/install/index.php

instead of :

install/index.php
