I have been reading a php book and its great. But the oop basics are not explained in detail. So I am asking you all to please suggest some online site for oop so that I may clear the basics of oop and then continue reading the book.

Start here and work your way down the list. That's the basics but it does get more complicated than just putting a function inside of a class. Prepare to be confused. Regardless, that's probably the best resource when it comes to (PHP) OOP.

Any more resources mate? I did had a look at it but more basic. One for a total beginner you can say.
