You need to click on your database (on the left hand side of phpmyadmin).
Run the SQL query once you've clicked that (you'll notice a tab that reads "SQL").

i can't see my data base on left in phpmyadmin?

the solution is really easy mate
all you have to do is
1-Go to phpmyadmin
2-go to Databases
3- click on the db you are trying to restore
4- go to import tab
5- browse the .sql file
6- click on go
7- enjoy!
basically all you have to do is press on one of the db instead of inserting the backup in the whole server

I done this for them yesterday via teamviewer. He had the .sql file, but he hadn't created the database yet.
