The mobile theme was added because our userbase (pool players) spend a lot of their free time playing pool. It is unusual to have a pc or laptop with you in the pool hall, but a phone is more likely. Maybe when they are sat at the bar having a drink or whatever they could check the site. I hope they don't do it while playing. That would be super annoying.
Anyway, we added the mobile theme on my suggestion and then the twitter - aiming for a "tech" pool player - at site owner suggestion. We do have younger players as members (aged 25 or so) so maybe it will work out.
