They're trolling, the fact is that we have no way of knowing without first knowing about your site since the "best" theme is the one that best suits your site. Also, 99% of the time you'd be better off paying for something better anyway.

There is no best - what you need to do is look at your target audience and the theme of your board. If you expect a lot of mobile users and don't want to use mymobile then avoid themes with lots of jquery and images.
Like Charlie said - what is your site about. That is the start point.
