Okay, as far as I know of, and I've been using MyBB for years, disallowing a guest to post in a forum always worked. Thus, a guest cannot post in a forum without those permissions...
So, why is it that now, guests are able to post? :/

That is the forum link, the replies by guests are in the Announcements forum.
Any ideas?
There are a few different possibilities here.
- The usergroup permissions for Guests allows them to post replies to threads.
- The forum permissions for the Announcements forum allows guests to post replies.
- The user was deleted via the database, or by a dodgy plugin, which left the posts remain.
- You have user pruning enabled but it is set so that threads and posts remain.
1. Nope, disabled posting abilities for guests.
2. No again, I've disabled them manually.
3. I only have two plugins activated, Akismet and Stop Forum Spam. Though, I don't believe I've had an issue with either of those two in the past.
4. User pruning is disabled.
I can't post in the announcements forum as a guest.
Hm....maybe it is one of those two plugins. I've just never seen anything like it before. Because they are spam comments. Yet no registration of bots. I'm just a little confused on what's going on.
