i've been gone a while and 1.2 was released during that time

i am wondering if three were any major template changes that would mean that edits would need to be made to skins made for previous version.

Old skins will not work on 1.2 if you do not totally rewrite it as MyBB 1.2 theme has been rewamped quite a bit.
