is there a way to show administrators the ip address of guests visiting the forum

You can see the IP addresses of guests on the who's online list. Smile

no, not really, I only see the members who are online and how many guests there are, but no ip

It does, but you must be a moderator, super moderator or admin to see it.

Could it be he just like me removed it with template edits?
I mean i dont want moderators to be able to see IP adresses.
