will you can do that but first you must know how much is the header size
here is how to do it

cahnge the number and place it in the logo code
example ?

and mybb banner has been design just for this theme so it might not fit in other themes
dont know where you can find the logo code ?
ACP>templates and style > templates>"your theme">options>expand templates>header templates>options>expand templates>header>options>edit template
