some users on my forum are reporting that sometimes a thread will say it has 20 pages when in fact it really only has 19, so it'll send them back to the first page.

is this a known issue? I've had this problem before on other forums I've ran. is there a fix for it or a way to minimize it? is there a task that runs that should update the proper page count that I can increase the time it's ran?

found a thread that was doing what I mentioned in my OP a little while ago.

see these two screenshots I captured. the forum says there's 24 pages, but there's really only 23. when you click on the 24th page, since it doesn't really exist, it'll take you to the 1st page.

I suspect it's because a user has replied but deleted it, and the task - if there even is one - hasn't ran yet to update the proper amount of pages in a thread.
