can i use mybb after uploading a ftp. how can i do it.? can someone help me.

thanks for your answer. but there is a problem. i already have a 2.5 gb capacity on www.funpic.de and the files are installed on ftp. i only want to know how can i make the installations. i want to use ftp as a website. only another name and use it like a database. can it be or not. if it can be how can i make the insttallations. thanks.

ftp is for transferring files... It does not act like http which is used for accessing executable programmes / transferring files from the web.

If you want to run MyBB you will have to put it in your public_access folder. And that is NOT your ftp folder...

If you want to use your ftp folder as a reservoir of files etc... you will have to make it anonymous access for anyone that wants to use it.. Then most, if not everyone.. would be able to access it through their browser using the ftp protocol.

If that's what you want to do... Then Google for "ftp protocol"..
