the weird thing is, I have the "Number of times to allow failed logins" set to 0 which should disable it...

after the first attempt, it gives the standard error and allows me to continue typing in the wrong username/password combination

I clear my browser cookies each time firefox closes down. I'm still seeing the error happen on the 1st unsuccessful attempt of trying to log in.

This is something what I am seeing at the moment:

IIRC you need to enter a valid username in order to get the failed attempts thing.

try using tester as the username since that's a valid account on the forum.
