Hey,

When I first bought my iPod, we had to use my mums apple account in order to get apps. But as she changed her password, I made my own, however it still asks me for her password. On the general settings it says my account is logged in and it is verified, it just doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

Check the Store settings. Your apps are tied to the account they were purchased on. If you change the account associated with the app store, you won't be able to use those apps anymore.

So I need to delete them and redownload them using my account?

Precisely. You'll have to pay for them again too.
