Hi, I switch from other forum to MyBB few yrs ago and after the switch, I didn't do any upgrade as I'm not an IT expert and I do not wanna break it when nothing is broken.
Recently I realised the "admin approval" for new user registration is no longer working and when I turn on "email verification" option, I end up having tons of spams in my forum. Now I have no choice but decided to upgrade MyBB software to the latest version, hoping it will resolve my problem and help to improve the forum security.
I've downloaded the latest MyBB 1.6.8 zip file and wonder if anyone can point me to the step-by-step process to upgrade my forum? My forum has existed for more than 10 yrs for my friendship community and I'm very worried that the upgrade may wipe partially or all of the threads/posts/users records.
