Pirata Nervo's SB uses WAY too much bandwidth. Is there an alternative?

But when I install it, where the chat is supposed to be, it shows a big advertisement instead. I checked the creator's page, and he last logged on in 2010.

IRCs just seem sloppy. Is there any good alternative that could save me some bandwidth too?

Create a forum, and have it not add to the users post count.

You ask why
Because bandwidth is precious. For a cheap alternative, Just don't use one.

Any shoutbox will use a massive amount of bandwidth. Pirata's is actually one of, if not the best out there.
