Download the mybb 1.2 release from the website and upload everything in the uploads folder..

(the images can be found in the upload folder. Folder: images)

Okey, what do you get when you go to "http://<your adresse>/captcha.php?action=regimage&imagehash=test"? Do you get any errors?
