I run
www.sandiegohdtv.org/forums and the attachment system is broken. All attachments are not working. I run the latest version of MyBB, and I do not know why this is happening. Any response would be great.
How long has this been happening?/Did this ever happen before?
It just started happening now. I got an email from a user who said XLS files showed UTF-8 or something like that.
Try this fix from an old thread and see if works

I looked at it, but I do not know which php.ini to edit.
/etc/php.ini
/etc/php/php.ini
/etc/php5/php.ini
/usr/bin/php5/bin/php.ini
Normally, it would be under public_html.
you may have to copy php.ini to every directory in which you have PHP stuff.

This thread is where it happens on XLS files. PDF files work with chrome. JPEG's are broken as well. PM me for a test account.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with PHP v5.3.10-1ubuntu3.2 and MySQL v5.5.24-0ubuntu0.12.04.1.
Can anybody help me with my situation?
