Edit the template postbit or postbit classic failing and search {$post['groupimage']} & put it before {$post['profilelink']}.

If you want it to be by every username, do what Steep said. However, Mybb has a way to do this in the group management part of your ACP. Edit your desired group, and where it has all the effects for the name
<b>{$username}</b>
or something, just making something up, make it this
<img src="URL" /><b>{$username}</b>
