My forum lost activity a couple years back and it as been adandoned since. I have come back to it to start working on it.

However it was covered with 65,000 SPAM accounts. I deleted them all however in the process I deleted a few real accounts of old members.

I was thinking to get them back I could upload an old version of the database with them on and then merge it with the latest version.

Is this possible?

Yes, you can merge two copies of MyBB. Just run the users module, and that module only.

So effectivly the missing members will be restored? There posts are still there you see they are just as guests now.

Yes, the missing members will simply be merged back into the board.
