Assuming that you are using MyBB 1.8
you can add the Google Analytics code at the bottom of the footer template
admin panel >> Templates & Style >> Templates >> forum active theme templates >> Footer Templates >> footer

But the fact that I am helping to make themes for 1.8.
And when the theme is updated again have to edit it.
This is very inconvenient and takes a long time.

When the theme is updated, all who have a MyBB forum, you have to manually add the code again, so need a plugin!

I found the plugins, but they are old:

Please update it, make two windows, one for the header and one for the footer.

Hi, question about adding analytics code into footer (v 1.8): what if visitors surf forum in "lite mode", do they still get served analytics code? Since I am not sure the template files (including footer or header where we add analytics shortcode) are being loaded when using "lite mode".

Anybody knows for sure?
