MyBB Community Forums

I am building a board for a genealogy website that needs to have individual forums for each country/state/county. This will result in approximately 4000 individual forums. Can MyBB handle this many forums?

You may want to have a more specific theme than genealogy. Too broad a topic is hard to maintain. You may want to focus on either a particular surname or region.

You might want to look at what XThreads can do for you. By using the XThreads prefixes you can assign filterable prefixes so you can have the state/county as prefixes. That might help.
