I am having trouble chagning the default time

I went here:
ACP -> config -> settings -> date and time formats -> default timezone offset

and changed it to "my" timezone of GMT -4:00 Hours
EST time, saved settings

After that i did not see a change in the times, so i though maybe it is for new posts only. So i posted a time test thread and it seems it is still on default. the thread. I then thought maybe the save to the new setting did not take effect. I then rechecked the settings and it is still on GMT -4:00 hours.

Is there something else i am missing?

You know that thought never crossed my mind.

I checked it. The 5:55 post shows posted at 6:55

So is the time change only for the effect of guests or users, not admin?

I always get confused with the clock As far as I know, the time based on two things. The time that you view is made up of the time you have set your board to (with any daylight saving) and the timesetting you have in your usercp

oh ok. I have noticed a trend. I have to start thinking in terms of changing settings for both admin and usercp. I seem to think that admincp changes the default for both. In some case it does not.
