How can I return the amount of PM's a user has in their inbox that are unread - but just the number? For example, at my test site I have "Unread 0, Total 6". Instead of this, how can I return just "0"? I'm trying to create a dropdown where the PM button would be like "Private Messaging (0)" or "Private Messaging (3)".

You can use

$mybb->user['pms_unread']
